read Jon’s article
Jan. 10 2008I hope you got a chance to read Jon’s article on caring for people who are suffering. Jon is one of the pastors I have the privilege to serve within our church’s singles ministry and I can say that there is nobody I respect more in their walk with God than Jon and and his wife Jenni. As they continue to walk through this test of suffering (what Jon describes in the article happened just over a year ago) they prove on a daily basis that God exists and he is worthy of our life even if He asks us to suffer. Please take a moment and read it because I guarantee you that in your life you will be in a situation where you are caring for a friend who is suffering.
One of the things that I admire about Jon and Jenni is they way they hang on to the promises of God in scripture for faith. So many times as I talk to them they bring up a certain passage they have been meditating on. So I want to ask you, when a friend is suffering where do you take them in Scripture to build their faith?
